Mike is an activist designer, crafting experiences that are beautiful and useable but also meant to drive audiences to take action. He merges art and science by directing LGND’s efforts to create compelling content that is then brought to life through technology.
As Art Director for the President of the United States, Barack Obama, Mike was at the forefront of using policy products to explain policy issues. While running his first agency, NAV, Mike crafted award-winning stories for the federal government, Fortune 500 companies, national associations, small businesses, and nonprofits.
The most exciting part of the work we do is mixing the passions, efforts, and skillsets of our team with our clients. Taking ideas and supercharging them into jaw-dropping products is what gets us out of bed in the morning.
Mike lives on a lake in Frederick, MD (location of the LGND “lab”) with his wife, Lisa, and three kids, Mason, McKenna, and Hadley. He coaches lacrosse and takes the Aleos on enough outdoor adventures to fill up a Patagonia catalog.
