I. Challenge

The Energy Efficiency Hub, a platform fostering global collaboration on energy efficiency, worked with LGND to develop its website showcasing Members’ work on the topic. The Hub is hosted at the International Energy Agency (IEA), an autonomous agency of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

II. Solution

To help solidify the Hub as an authority on global energy efficiency and create a central repository of information for and about its members, we crafted a custom brand identity for the 16 founding member countries, each represented by the logo’s 16-point star.

To generate awareness for the new initiative, we quickly worked to launch a landing page in 2021, acting as a digital placeholder before the build-out of the full website experience in 2022.

III. Results

The Hub takes on issues important to its members through thematic Task Groups.

These Task Groups inform policy-making, communicate emerging best practices, and share information between countries, international organizations, and the private sector.

Site visitors come from all over the world, and site traffic has doubled in the first six months of the year, with user engagement growing steadily. Audiences are actively engaging with Task Groups and downloading member country reports.

With the incorporation of videos and events, The Hub is now fully realized and can now stream and actively promote activities on the site, and The Hub is now showcased at summits and conferences across the globe.
