I. Challenge

Bechtel has built some of the world’s most iconic projects over the past 125 years–projects that connected communities, strengthened infrastructure, advanced sustainability, and improved lives for millions of people.

To set the stage for the next 125, Bechtel asked LGND to help them showcase their monumental achievement and lay the digital groundwork for its modernized brand and updated Vision, Values, and Commitments (VV&Cs).


II. Solution

In designing the 125th Celebration webpage, it was key to both commemorate Bechtel’s legacy and highlight its forward-looking mission to continue making history and building a better world.

With Bechtel’s newly refreshed brand — “sharper, modern, and more dynamic” — and its rich library of visual assets, we weaved CEO Brendan Bechtel’s 125th-anniversary letter, spotlighting notable quotes and images, helping lift it off-the-page. This visually engaging experience connects users to Bechtel’s history, takes them through the company’s timeless evolution, and sparks inspiration for what’s to come.

III. Results

From constructing the Hoover Dam in the 1930s to supporting NASA’s Gemini and Apollo programs in the 1960s to developing the smart cities of the future, Bechtel has made a significant impact on the world and is committed to building a better future. The 125th Celebration page puts the company’s innovation and global leadership on full display.

Importantly, Bechtel shared in this celebration with employees worldwide, who have made the company’s accomplishments over the years possible. The rollout of the page and the refreshed brand involved exciting events and a robust social media campaign that drove significant engagement and enthusiasm for #BechtelsNext125.
