The Metropolitan Policy Center was created in the Fall of 2014 within the School of Public Affairs at American University. MPC serves as the metropolitan and urban research hub on AU’s campus. MPC’s mission is to create knowledge and propose solutions to our 21st century metropolitan and urban challenges.

Our work focused on creating a visual identity that fully aligned with this new mission. We aimed to have the brand embrace its urban home in Washington DC, highlight the need for new minds joining the civic conversation, and embrace clean and modern iconography.
