New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR)

MISSION
NYSAR approached LGND to design a website that better reflected their unique value as both a key business partner to real estate professionals and as a resounding advocate for REALTORS® and their consumers across the state of New York. By leveraging our team’s extensive web development and design capabilities, LGND sought to redefine NYSAR’s visual identity.
LGND’s challenge was taking thousands of pages of content and developing an intuitive and beautifully designed website experience that encouraged users to stay on the site longer and explore more of NYSAR’s valuable resources. In addition, we had to create an online experience that retains its peak responsiveness across multiple devices and browsers to ensure it is easily accessible for any user.
OUR PROCESS
LGND worked with the NYSAR team to bring a fresher look to the previous design in order to facilitate improved user engagement amongst a wider array of brokers, agents, appraisers, and REALTOR® associations.
Following numerous stakeholder interviews and an intensive reassessment of the website structure, LGND provided strategic recommendations for content edits, how the site should be organized, and key design elements that would improve a user’s experience.
The process pushed the NYSAR brand and website experience in a new direction and is further enhanced by the site’s seamless integration with a third-party CRM, as well as its ability to automatically pull events and members from a database into their site’s calendar and various directories.
NYSAR SITE BEFORE REDESIGN

01. Discovery
We rely on having a flexible but tested process to ensure project success. During our discovery phase, our team traveled to New York to meet with a room full of stakeholders at NYSAR. We held a working session to discuss goals and plan out the project. We led discussions and debates to find the heart of NYSAR’s problems and how we can solve them together.
02. Iteration
Iteration is the magic that drives our successful projects at LGND. Our team went back to the lab and worked on deliverables for the team’s feedback. Moodboards, wireframes, and content planning documents flew back and forth over Slack and Zoom calls to zero in on solutions. Iterating with stakeholders and gathering feedback keeps us moving forward towards a common goal.
03. Design
Collaboration is a key part of our process. We worked with our internal team, then presented our visual ideas for feedback from client stakeholders. Our goal is always to create a breathtaking, beautiful website, but our primary focus is to make our new websites far more usable and accessible for your most important audiences.
04. Development
Creating an open and accessible website starts with design, but is executed in development. Through clean and semantic code, we developed a fully responsive and accessible experience. The site experience is flush with animations and other progressive enhancements, which function across all major browsers and devices.
MAPPING
An interactive Google Mapping tool, which pulls and geocodes REALTORS® and appraisers via Google APIs, allows users to easily locate REALTORS® and appraisers in their area.


LAUNCH
Since launch, we continue to support NYSAR with web design and development projects, including: hosting their existing site with technical support and new member training, feature upgrades and new tool functionalities, graphic design, security monitoring, and site optimization.
